The professional development plan is developed with several factors taken into consideration. In the spring of each school year, the professional staff is surveyed on their professional development needs. The survey results are compared to the goals of the school district and focus areas are identified from those two areas. In addition, teachers will receive professional development and training during their curriculum review cycle. That professional development or training will target instructional practice as well as implementation of new programming. Each school building will also identify professional development needs based on building level goals.
