The mission of the Buildings and Grounds Department of Northern Tioga School District is to keep all of our buildings operating properly and efficiently; ensuring a safe, non-distracting environment in which to learn. NTSD Capital Project Update – September 2018
Cowanesque Valley Jr. Sr. High School
CVHS will expand to improve square footage with a two story addition.
- 2nd Floor
- Teaching areas adding 3 new classrooms
- Addition of bathrooms on same level as cafeteria and gym
- Updating the working efficiency of the kitchen and dish wash area
- 1st Floor
- New administration offices
- New entrance that will provide secured vestibule area for all visitors to enter
- Other major areas of improvement

- Updating Heating and adding cooling
- Gym and locker room air handlers will be replaced
- Auditorium air handlers will be replaced and cooling will be added
- Converting existing administration offices to teaching areas and technology area
- Industrial Arts and Ag Shop improvements
- Upgrade flooring in classrooms
- Theoretical upgrade to Auditorium – Stage light upgrades and Curtains
- Parking lot lighting improvements

Westfield Area Elementary School
Upgrade to heating: addition of new boiler
Ventilation upgrades to improve air circulation in classrooms
Clark Wood Elementary School
Theatrical upgrade to auditorium – stage light upgrades
Williamson / R.B. Walter
WHS will expand to improve square footage for Technology and Industrial Arts; New Industrial Arts Area to include:
- Wood Shop / Metal shop / Small Engine Shop
- New Technology Area to include:
- CAD Drawing Room / Robotics Room
- Additionally there will be added classroom space
- Other areas of major improvements
- New administration offices
- New entrance that will provide secured vestibule area for all visitors to enter
- Science room upgrades
- Home Economics room upgrades
- Improved ventilation
- Parking lot improvements
