Welcome to RB Walter Elementary School! Our school serves students in grades Pre-K through Sixth Grade. Approximately 500 students attend our school and it is the largest elementary school in our district. Our school is part of the Northern Tioga School District and located in scenic North Central Pennsylvania near the town of Lawrenceville.
As a result of a renovation of our school facilities in 1998, we are fortunate to have a beautiful school with outstanding features which benefit the learning process.
RB Walter elementary School offers a variety of programs to assist students with their learning styles and needs. We offer a strong, well-rounded elementary curriculum with the emphasis on the “basics.” An outstanding, hard-working faculty and staff are in place to serve the needs of the students.
Our school also has a strong commitment to technology use. We have computers in every classroom, a beautiful 60 station computer lab, Promethean boards presently in grades KG-6th and make use of many different software programs. Our computer lab uses the Study Island software program to reinforce basic skills and prepare students for the PSSA achievement tests in Reading and Math.
Involving parents and the community in our school is a goal we strive toward at RB Walter. We encourage parents, family and community members to volunteer in school. A very strong Parent Teacher Organization functions at our school and promotes involvement of parents and teachers. The PTO provides many activities and assistance for the students and teachers in our school.
The emphasis in our school is to provide a positive learning environment which promotes the development of the student’s academic and social potential. We believe we can accomplish this task only by working together as a team, with input and support from everyone in the school community.
