About Westfield Elementary

Westfield Area Elementary School, located in Westfield, Pennsylvania, is dedicated to nurturing the academic and personal growth of students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Our school emphasizes a balanced education that prioritizes academic excellence alongside the social, emotional, and physical development of our students. We aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where children are excited to learn.

Westfield Area Elementary offers various programs to enrich the educational experience. We are a school-wide Title I school. We also run an MTSS framework that includes RTII and PBIS. These programs, in addition to staff and family collaboration, help us to support students in achieving academic success.

Extracurricular activities are a key component of our school community. The WAES PTO, composed of staff and parents, and our Student Council, organize assemblies, student activities, and rewards that enhance our positive school culture. Additionally, we partner with external organizations to offer programs such as athletics, after school program (through Communities That Care Initiative), 4-H, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts, etc., to provide students with diverse opportunities for growth and development.

At Westfield Area Elementary, we are committed to fostering a positive behavior environment. Our students are encouraged to be BRAVE: Be Safe, Respect Other, Act Responsibly, Volunteer, Engage In Learning. We value positive interactions and understand that students need opportunities for social success.

We welcome you to become part of the WAES family! See for yourself what education with a “rural advantage” looks like.
