About Williamson High School
Williamson Junior/Senior High School, located in Tioga, Pennsylvania, educates approximately 550 students in grades seven through twelve. We operate with an imbedded middle school for grades seven and eight to help foster a small school climate. At Williamson, we focus on developing academic, social, and personal skills that our students need to be successful members of society. We strive to instill our students with the qualities of having Warrior PRIDE: Professionalism, Resiliency, Integrity, Dependability, and Empathy. We take pride in exhibiting inclusion and acceptance throughout our school. Our small class sizes allow students to receive exemplary instruction from their teachers and allows them to get the most out of the courses we offer here at Williamson.
With a variety of courses offered at Williamson, our students can explore many electives or greatly hone their skills and knowledge in a specific content area. There are several college level courses available for students focusing on science, history and government, math, and English. Also, there are several vocational courses offered for students to begin their hands on experiences in their desired fields including metal shop, wood shop, mechanical drawing, robotics, building automation, and culinary. When walking into any classroom at Williamson, students will be immersed in a learning-focused environment.
Without a doubt, students at Williamson have access to an incredible music experience as well with the award-winning Marching Warriors and Williamsong. Several band and chorus members have earned tremendous achievements at local and state competitions. Students can also have time to shine on the stage each year when our drama department presents their production of their musical or play. Another way students can explore and demonstrate their creativity is in our art room from drawing and painting to sculpture and ceramics.
At Williamson, students can extend their education with numerous extracurricular activities as well. During any season, you will see athletes training to prepare for their next competition in the gym or on the field. In the fall students can be involved in soccer, volleyball, football, golf, or cross-country. During the winter months, our athletes keep busy with basketball, wrestling, and Unified Bocce. To close out the school year in the spring, our students take the field in softball, baseball, and track & field. Williamson Athletics is proud to have our athletes represent our school with class and determination. Aside from athletics, students at Williamson can be involved in Student Council, FBLA, History Club, Sportsman’s Club, The Inclusion Warriors, National Honors Society, and Yearbook.
