Kristen Hamilton, director of Develop Tioga, has shared the following information for small business owners in Tioga county:
The U.S. Small Business Administration website is now showing Pennsylvania and Tioga County, PA as eligible for SBA disaster funding.
This enables small businesses to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
The loans can be used to:
- pay fixed debts,
- accounts payable
- and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disaster’s impact.
Interest rate: for small businesses is 3.75%. The interest rate for non-profits is 2.75%
Loan Forgiveness: A Federal Stimulus Package is under discussion that may include partial loan forgiveness if certain conditions are met by the business, but there are no guarantees at this time.
