SUMMER FOOD KICKOFF SET FOR JUNE 12TH, 2017

With summer vacation just around the corner, it's time to think about keeping children eating healthy while school is out.  Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like schools, community centers and churches to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.

K-12 School Counseling Plan (Chapter 399)

During the April 2017 Business meeting, the school counselors presented their Comprehensive plan to the school board.  The presentation is attached below.

    Board Update

On March 27, 2017, the Northern Tioga School District Board of Directors heard presentations from Hunt Engineers and Robert W. Baird & Co. regarding potential renovation projects and subsequent financing.

Over the past several months, Buildings and Grounds Committee (made up of a board member from each region), along with district administration and representatives from Hunt Engineers met numerous times to review the Building Condition Study prepared by Hunt in early 2016.  After many meetings and much discussion, the committee reviewed the study and determined the items to be included in a project.  Hunt Engineers were asked to present the potential project to the entire board and Les Bear, from Robert W. Baird & Co. was asked to present potential financing options.

No action on the potential project or financing was taken at this time.

Below are links to the handouts from the March 27, 2017 meeting, as well as a list of smaller projects that were previously approved for 2017/2018 to be funded through the Capital Reserve fund.
